Memories of Mom: A Loving Journey in Her Honor

This video was made to pay tribute to my mother, Charlotte Patricia Gray, who many of you know is the lady in the THANKS TOBACCO: YOU KILLED MY MOM video. It’s been over a year since her passing and the video we filmed has no doubt saved hundreds of lives and I couldn’t be more proud of what we did. The video is being watched close to 500 times a day and is up over 130000+ views as of yesterday. It’s in the hands of health teachers at schools, workers at American Lung Association Clinics, and being utilized by so many professionals as a teaching aid across the Country. It has become projects for students, inspiration to quit and to help others quit smoking and also to prepare some of the people that are about to go through this personally. It has been a comment forum to share our hearts and souls as there are too many of us out there that lost a loved one like this. Though my emotions are always a roller-coaster having to tend to the daily comments of the video, I am so glad we got this out there in the world to make a difference. It was her deepest wish to help save lives. It has helped me come to terms with the emotions and have closure knowing her death was not in vain. She made a difference in my life beyond measure and I appreciate her more everyday that I am alive…I can only imagine how she will be looked upon by the countless people that she helps with the video. Your gratitude is already clearly evident to a point where I am overwhelmed by the comments that I in …

Awesome testimony!
God Bless you too!
Tomorrow I will be one year smoke free thanks to your other video. That video was the catalyst that stopped me in my tracks and made me quit for good.
I had to come by and say thanks to you and your mom.

@wholoveskitty
Thanks for the update. It’s so nice to hear such positive testimonies.
I am glad we made the documentary and of course this one to show the good stuff.
Hi Aaron. I’ve written to you before but wanted to check in with you. I have been quit now 2 yrs 4mo. Your amazing courage to share your mother’s story has helped so many people. We recommend your video to all new members of our quit group. Your mother has a legacy that will live on through the lives of all of us who are now free from addiction. She was a beautiful woman Aaron and she lives in the hearts of hundreds of strangers the world over. Bless you all.
That means a lot to hear. Thanks for the update.
All the people that have quit like you did…with the help of the video is heart-warming.
You are definitely an ex-smoker! Congrats!
Let me say honestly, I quit smoking after watching the other video of her. It had a profound impact on how I looked at smoking.
I am now 8 mos smoke free after smoking 35 years. She might not know it, but she is helping people quit even today.
Thanks for posting this video of her.
RIP
The Universe is an amazing creation.
It does work on an agenda. All we have to do is notice and take heed.
Thanks for the comment and I hope all is good with your family.
Aaron, this video made me cry my eyes out. I lost my mother to breast cancer in 1985 when I was 14. I miss her every day. I can truly feel the love you had for your mother and I think you did a wonderful job paying tribute to her through this video. The neatest part of all is I came across this video by accident, it was in my recommended videos when I signed on. The Universe works in mysterious ways. William
I can surely understand that. It is a horrid way tto go and I’ve known that my whole life. I quit once years ago and when I went through divorce, started back. I’ve kicked myself so many times. Your Mom seemed like such a precious person, but Lord willing she is with the angels now..smile…
That means a lot to me!
I really held my love in and was shy most of my life.
Then after losing my Mom I changed.
Life’s too short to hold back on emotions.
Now i share everything!
Thanks to that, I get nice people like you brightening my day.
Awesome to hear you are on your way to becoming an Ex-smoker.
I am working on stopping smoking. I won’t say quitting, cause we can quit and quit and quit, but I wish to STOP. I would like to thank this young man for posting this video, it is so precious, yet so sad. The Thanks Tobacco, is helping me to accomplish my effort to stop smoking. So, many thanks to you for sharing this part of your life with the world.
It’s been quite a ride. Doing lots of good things though. Everyday I think about why I am so thankful to have had my Mom.
I am still here after many months writing you ..still thinking about you and how you you help others by your moms passing i know you must miss her more all the time
bless you !!

ur mom was a beautiful women…
may she rest in peace.
thankyou for this video…
In this video mark the 2:27 time. The look is this sweet one’s eyes is so remarkable.
What a loving tribute to all who take that step into desperation and feel they have nothing to live for. Smoking may be an addiction but it is also the sense of hopelessness. Why else would we take poison?
Your tears were most heart felt. I commend your commitment to take the most heart wrenching moments with your beloved mother and have the sincere desire to help others. God made you a very special person.
Even though she has passed, you will always have the memories and love for her you did when she was here with us… be thankful for that, because that is something I would have killed for, a mother, she seemed like she was a great lady, a very nice one, which can only means we all know where shes going ^_^b and im sure you will be able to see her again as well
thats nice…
“700, small price to pay for great memories”

That part where my Mom said that (about my wife) left a lasting impression on us.

its sad she had a stroke and was unable to go to your home with you ..she was a very beautiful lady !
